Organic Gardening magazine covers three aspects –
(1) History:
The year, 1930 saw the launch of a company called Rodale Inc. The company was carrying out step by step the years to become the largest publisher of any printed matter related to health and fitness today!
During the 1940s, realized that JI Rodale organic gardening is also linked to health, and has decided to educate the public through a magazine entitled "Organic farming and gardening." The first publication to be launched by the Rodale Press in 1942.
Robert D. Rodale (son of JI Rodale) took charge of the magazine after the death of his father in 1971. When son was killed in a road accident in 1990, daughter of JI Rodale's (Maria) was appointed to head the company. The title was changed from the magazine by Maria. It is now known as organic gardening magazine.
Even today, the magazine enjoys its greatest popularity compared to other magazines devoted to organic gardening! The magazine is presented as a bi-monthly and annual dues are $ 25.
