Houston Organic Gardening
Houston Garden
Houston's climate makes it one of the best places to plant a garden in the United States. Houston knows a great warm climate part of the year, and although it is exceptionally hot in the summer months, the latent heat of moisture in the atmosphere plant life is very good. Because of the richness of the soil, the moisture content of the atmosphere, and the relative scarcity of hard freezes in winter virtually any type of plant species can thrive here. Tropical plants with flowers, a variety of shrubs, perennials of all colors and a rainbow of seasonal flowers can be grown successfully in this region.
With such a diversity of life available plants, gardens Houston can take both traditional and nontraditional forms depending on customer needs. Our philosophy is to always respect the architecture with a design that reflects structural keynotes and adds organic sensibility on the front of the house. As such, we prefer to see a garden in residence and surrounding area in particular. We've all seen hundreds of garden enthusiasts throughout the city that are basically grouped flowerbeds at the base of trees. While there is nothing inherently wrong with this approach, it lacks the ability to differentiate so significantly residence of the other.
On the other hand, Houston gardens we design are developed under the auspices of a master plan landscaping. The goal is never to simply fill an empty space with flowers or shrubs. In fact, some of garden more exotic than we offer to our customers, such as Zen gardens, rely on a mix of empty, vegetation, and ornamentation to provide a subtle but powerful impression on the emotions. Yardmen gardening manuals and do-it-yourself miss this nine times out of ten. The focus is the selection of beautiful plants to fill the space with color and greenery. professional gardening, on the other hand, is based on an established, design traditional or a derivative of this design that has been individualized for a particular residence and its unique needs of the vegetation and aesthetics.
A good example of this can be seen in the many case studies, you can read in the portfolio section of our website. In these stories, you will notice that residents in different neighborhoods in Houston tend to favor specific designs on others. In River Oaks, for example, a large plant number of Italian gardens and French gardens because the lots are so large, and the architecture tends to formal off to deliberate emulations of the Old World forms. At the other extreme, smaller lots are located between the museum district is through Bellaire. Homes are therefore much closer, either in the building is smaller, or the constitution instead of outward to conserve space in the yard. Gardens in these areas in Houston should be very distinctive in shape and color but are very close to the ground to avoid competition with the stature of the house and locking in view of the landscape. Knot gardens and modern gardens work very well in these areas, adding size and shape along the symmetry without acquiring other landscaping elements.
