Planting A Vegetable Garden
Is it safe to plant a vegetable garden in the suburbs?
I live in a suburb wide area. I think about planting a vegetable garden, but I ask, it is safe. Who knows what kind of people use chemicals on their lawn .. Does water enter the soil? Anyone have experience with this?
I simply say that yes, it is sure to grow your own. To start your garden vegetables contain chemicals and pesticides that are less commonly used in mass agriculture. I grow some vegetables (tomatoes, strawberries potatoes onions Spring, etc.) in my garden, it is a small garden here in England. However, he takes great care, I have their water before going to work and when I return. In addition, unless a massive use of chemicals in the region. I would not worry about it. Neighbours using food Lawn chemicals can damage their property, because it contains nitrogen and phosphates (I do not know too much about the effects on the environment), but for the effect your area, they would have to use a very large amount. My biggest problem I found was keeping slugs and birds away to my fruit and vegtables once they had grown up.
